Release notes and product news

v6.4.2
New feature Windows macOS

Tournament mode locks in low-jitter lines for esports

The headline feature of the quarter, aimed at turning "stable latency" from a slogan into a number you can watch.

  • Tournament mode prefers dedicated nodes with jitter below 2 ms and reroutes up to 200 ms before a link degrades.
  • Three new esports lines in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul cut latency by 18%–34% in mainstream competitive titles.
  • Improved node benchmarking completes an assessment of every reachable node within 1.5 seconds on first launch.
  • Fixed misplaced interface elements on 4K displays with high DPI scaling.
  • Available on Windows and macOS now; mobile arrives in v6.5.
v6.4.0
Performance All platforms

QuickQ Turbo upgraded to R3 for smoother mobile handover

  • Rebuilt congestion control cuts video buffering by 41% on average on weak links and reduces dropped frames in real-time voice by about 27%.
  • iOS and Android now hand over between Wi-Fi and cellular without dropping the session.
  • Client memory use is down roughly 15%, and measured laptop battery life improved by around 6%.
  • Fixed an issue where the macOS client occasionally failed to reconnect after waking from sleep.
Security notice SA-2026-07
Security

Annual third-party security audit complete, no high-risk findings

An independent security firm spent three weeks penetration testing and reviewing our clients, servers and key management system.

  • No high or critical findings were reported.
  • Two medium-risk recommendations — covering log redaction and configuration validation — were fixed in v6.4.0.
  • The report summary is in the security and compliance section of the docs; the full report is available to business customers.
Node news
Infrastructure

Middle East and South America expansion complete; Dubai and São Paulo join the backbone

  • Dubai scaled to 120 servers and connected to a new Middle East backbone line.
  • São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro went live, cutting average access latency for South American users by 46%.
  • Mumbai and Jakarta received hardware upgrades, raising peak bandwidth per node to 40 Gbps.
  • Total global nodes grew from 2,940 to more than 3,200.
v6.3.8
New platform Android TV

Android TV client released with one-click acceleration for the big screen

  • A purpose-built large-screen interface with D-pad navigation and quick connect.
  • Streaming-optimised buffering cuts 4K time-to-first-frame by an average of 1.2 seconds.
  • Per-app split tunnelling, so only video apps use the accelerated path.
v6.3.6
Usability Windows

Split tunnelling reworked for faster rule configuration

  • Rules can now be matched by process name and install path, with no manual hunting for executables.
  • Rules can be imported and exported so teams can distribute a standard routing policy.
  • Fixed a bug where split-tunnelling rules were lost after a client restart on some networks.
